in the newsThe Clean Development Mechanism ("CDM") was created by the Kyoto Protocol with the aims of encouraging emissions reductions in the developing world and cheapening greenhouse gas mitigation for developed countries. As part of PESD's work on Climate Change Policy, Michael Wara produced a paper titled Measuring the Clean Development Mechanism's Performance and Potential. Now Michael Wara is quoted on the actual effects - from pricing to mitigation - of the CDM on the greenhouse gas HFC-23.
