Collaborator Visitor Program

The Europe Center Program
Ongoing

The Collaborator Visitor Program supports research visits for scholars from institutions across Europe who are conducting collaborative research with Stanford faculty. Collaborations can focus on advancing the study of any aspect of European culture, society, politics, economics, history, or law.

The grants pay for the travel and accommodation costs for hosting Europe-based faculty with whom a TEC faculty affiliate has an ongoing research project. The grant will provide the funds necessary for a stay of up to two weeks in Palo Alto. These funds may be used for airfare, ground transportation, and hotel expenses. Food or per diem expenses are not covered and will need to be funded from other resources. The maximum size of the grant is $5,000. Faculty are encouraged to have the visitor give a talk in a regular departmental seminar but there is no requirement to do so. TEC will be able to award a maximum total of 5-10 collaboration grants per year.  Any publication resulting from the collaborative project should acknowledge the support of “The Europe Center at Stanford University.”
