Zhe Zhang is a quantitative research assistant at PESD. Zhe graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Mathematical & Computational Sciences and is taking a leave of absence from an M.A. in Environmental Engineering - Atmosphere/Energy track.

Zhe has been interested in energy, environment, and sustainable development issues throughout his academic career. He has interned at the World Bank  South Asia Sustainable Development Division and spent two spring breaks on trips to China and West Virginia/Kentucky to study such interests. In Stanford's Goldman Honors Program on Environmental Science, Technology, and Policy, Zhe wrote a thesis assessing and finding solutions to cap-and-trade's restricting effect on other emissions policies, with California's AB 32 as a case-study.
