Lin joined CHP/PCOR in 2000 as a research analyst. She currently manages and analyzes data using the SAS and STATA programs, for three projects: "Improving Safety Culture and Outcomes in Health Care," "Trends in Health Care Expenditures and Outcomes for Elderly Patients with Heart Failure," and "Effect of Organizational and Market Changes on Hospital Behavior."
Lin received her undergraduate degree in microbiology from Soochow University (Taiwan). She received an MS in health policy from the School of Public Health at the State University of New York-Albany campus. During her graduate study, she worked on a project at SUNY-Albany evaluating the quality of New York state's regional trauma-care system. She later conducted research on occupational safety and environmental monitoring, for the New York State Health Department, and evaluated the costs and effectiveness of mental health treatment, as a data analyst in the quality improvement department of Magellan Health Service.
