Jason Lee joined the CHP/PCOR staff in January 2007 as a social science research assistant. He works on the Validation of AHRQ Quality Indicators project and on systematic reviews of a range of clinical and health care topics for the Stanford-UCSF Evidence-based Practice Center.

Prior to CHP/PCOR, he conducted hospital epidemiology research and quality improvement projects on patient and medication safety at Yale-New Haven Health System, worked as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, a National Cancer Institute fellow at the City of Hope and a research assistant at UCSF's Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, and served as an emergency medical technician, a community outreach health worker and an editor for the Berkeley Medical Journal.

He received a BA in molecular and cell biology with an emphasis in neurobiology from UC Berkeley and an MPH in health management from Yale School of Medicine in conjunction with Yale School of Management. He completed graduate fellowships in health policy at the Institute of Medicine's Board on Health Care Services in Washington, DC, and the World Health Organization's Department of Health System Financing, Expenditure, and Resource Allocation in Geneva, Switzerland.
