Gireesh Shrimali is an Assistant Professor at the Indian School
of Business. His research interests lie in the areas of energy and environment
economics and policy. In particular, his recent research has focused on policy
instruments for promoting renewable technologies. His teaching includes an MBA
course focused on clean technology entrepreneurship and on business strategy in
presence of climate change.
He is currently visiting PESD, where he is
collaborating with Mark Thurber and Xander Slaski on multiple research projects
related to diffusion of sustainable cookstoves in India.
Gireesh holds a PhD from Stanford
University, a MS from University of Minnesota,
and a BTech from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He also has close to nine years
experience in the high-tech industry.
